Tefal lowers energy consumption with Aura Eco Saver Long Life

 

Tefal in France is actively working to reduce its energy consumption, as well as its CO2 emissions and maintenance costs, that is why they have installed Aura Eco Saver Long Life. „In addition to the energy savings made with Aura Eco Saver Long Life, we are drastically reducing our maintenance costs“.

 

 

Tefal belongs to the SEB Group, which is the world leader in small domestic appliances. Tefal is the premier global manufacturer of non-stick cookware. Founded in France in 1956, the company moved to Rumilly, Haute-Savoie, in 1961. It currently has two production sites. In 1968 it became joined the SEB Group, which today engages in specific measures aimed at sustainable development.

Reduced energy consumption with Aura Eco Saver Long Life

Bernard Cudet, Installations and Networks Manager, explains. “As part of implementing the group’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions, we have decided to install Aura Eco Saver Long Life tubes. By installing Aura Eco Saver Long Life in our plant, with its round-the-clock operation, we can reduce our energy consumption by 12%, in other words 90,000 kWh/year. This means energy savings of EUR 36,000 over a five year period”.

Aura Eco Saver Long Life reduces maintenance costs

Maintenance costs are high, amounting to EUR 13 per lamp. “Statistically, we change 1,000 lamps a year. So, in addition to the energy savings made with Aura Eco Saver Long Life, we are drastically reducing our maintenance costs, which are typically as much as EUR 13,000 per year. In other words, overall savings of €101,000 every fifth year!”. In this way, Tefal is actively working to reduce its energy consumption, as well as its CO2 emissions and maintenance costs.
